wine of the week
Frescobaldi Remole Tuscan Blend
This Tuscan Red Blend is mainly Sangiovese with some Cabernet Sauvignon added, but don’t be fooled: this is a great summer wine, bold enough to hold up to roasted and smoked meats but with soft enough tannins to drink on a warm evening.
GRADIS’CUITTA COLLIO Pinot Grigio
With brilliant straw yellow with reflections tending to a copper color, this Pinot Grigio from the Collio region, located in the northeast Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, is delicate & elegant, calling to mind flavors of vegetables, peach & ripe apples.
Riva de la Rosa Verdicchio di Matelica
Verdicchio di Matelica was born in the Matelica terroir within the Marche region. Rich in aromas of acacia and broom with flavors of apricot, lime, and toasted almonds. The palate is rich, savory and fresh in acidity with a good structure. Best served slightly chilled.
Banfi Chianti Classico
Intense with notes of cherries, plums, and violets. Rich flavors of cherry and leather. Supple tannins and good acidity.
Villa Sparina Gavi di Gavi
Bright yellow color, delicate bouquet of dried pineapple and peach. Full and rich in flavor, yet mineral and refreshing. Fine aromatic flavor to the end.
