Domaine Maire En Geillon Poulsard

2020, Arbois, Jura, France

At first glance, an orange-clear red color, with coral highlights of a light intensity coming from the grape variety, Poulsard, a grape known for lively red wines native to the Jura region. The nose offers aromas of small red fruits and fine notes of spices. It is elegant on the palate, generous with some wildness and underwood notes.

Florine Michelin

Domaine Maire & Fils

Oenologist Florine Michelin trained in Dijon, France, before returning home to work among the vines of the Arbois with Domaine de la Pinte.

She then joined recently-purchased and renamed Domaine Maire & Fils in and winemaker Jacques Hauller, working shoulder-to-shoulder as a valuable guide to understand the uniqueness of the local vineyard and native grape varieties.

Her knowledge of the grapes native to the Jura region, the terrior, and the climate have allowed Domaine Maire & Fils to expand their biodiversity to invest in the environment for the next generation of Domaine Maire winemakers.
